Our family has owned dogs for the last 30 years and during that time I have always trained them to be sociable and well mannered to both other dogs and humans. I had always watched the growing number of dog training programs, starting with Barbara Woodhouse, through Ceasar Milan to the current crop.

However, it is only since we rescued Milo last and I embarked on training a puppy again that it came to light how different (and advanced) dog training has become. I began to understand why we had some of the problems with our past dogs and how they would be handled so much differently nowadays.... and why they would not of even happened. We have been blessed with Milo and as I delved into positive reinforcement and gundog training for pets my understanding grew which then gave me a thirst for knowledge.

I have embarked on accredited and formal training for myself with the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT) and also Absolute Dogs Pro Trainer so that I can train the owners to train their dogs.
